Aliens: Colonial Marines Gets a 2013 Release Date

Aliens: Colonial Marines drops on February 12th, 2013.

It has been a long time since we first saw Aliens: Colonial Marines, but Gearbox and Sega have finally given gamers a date to look forward too. Granted it will be missing it’s original 2012 release date time slot, it will be hitting in Q1 2013.

The interesting part is that Sega has given a release date for every console, but the upcoming platform from Nintendo, the Wii U. Now that could be simply because will not allow any developer to talk about games until after E3 2012, but it could also point to Nintendo and Sega working out some sort of deal for Aliens: Colonial Marines to be a timed exclusive on the Wii U. Here is what GearBox had to say on the Wii U version:

“The controller of the Wii U is obviously where there is new opportunity for innovation in interactivity. Meanwhile, our hope at Gearbox is that the final specification for the hardware is much more powerful than the current competitive consoles so that studios like ours can bring a better standard of high definition image not only to television, but to the controller’s screen at the same time.”
