Trials Evolution Review: the Truth Behind the Title

trials evolution logo Trials Evolution Review: the Truth Behind the Title

In August of 2009 RedLynx released Trials HD; a physics-based motocross racing game in which the player treks across a straight track ridden with numerous obstacles including hill, jumps, loops, and even dynamite. Based less on realism and more on puzzle solving, Trials gives you the ability to reload at multiple checkpoints throughout each track. The player is also given the ability to create and customize their own track, using any and all obstacles available in the game.

Trials Evolution: The Awesome Evolution of Trials

Last month RedLynx debuted the sequel, entitled Trials Evolution. Trials Evolution maintained all the popular aspects of the original that made it such a success, but RedLynx didn’t stop there. Evolution is not just a name; the simplicity of the original received a serious overhaul in every facet of its awesomeness. In the time I’ve spent racing across the epic quantity of premade career mode tracks, I’ve been introduced to more new features than I could shake a stick at!

E3 2012: Nintendo Press Conference Dated

Wii U logo 1024x724 E3 2012: Nintendo Press Conference Dated

E3 2012 press conferences will end with Nintendo on June 5th.

Nintendo has confirmed their E3 2012 press conference date and time. Tuesday June 5th, at 9 A.M. PDT.

Nintendo has confirmed a few titles, such as New Super Mario Brothers 2 and Pikmin 3, but Nintendo has been pretty quite on their E3 2012 conference contents. We know the Wii U will be the main focus of the show, but other predictions have included the 3DS remake, the 3DS Lite.

The Wii U will be releasing later this year, and we know Nintendo will be hoping to bring the hype train to maximum speed for this holiday season. Tune in on June 5th to see if you will want to pick up a Wii U for yourself.

E3 2012: Nintendo Predictions

Nintendo Logo E3 2012: Nintendo Predictions

E3 2012 will be extremely important for Nintendo and the Wii U.

E3 2012 is the biggest stage of all for video games, and Nintendo has the most to prove this year. After unveiling the Wii U at E3 2011, Nintendo has stayed very quite on what is in the future for their tablet based console. With 17 million 3D’s on the market, and the launch of a new console, E3 2012 will be big for Nintendo.

The 3DS did not have the best launch. In fact, Nintendo should be downright ashamed of their performance for the 3DS launch. Since then, Nintendo has made a series of good choices to turn the 3DS into the fastest selling handheld console ever. E3 2012 for the 3DS will be another focal point in the console’s short life. We already know Lugi’s Mansion 2 is on its way, and Kingdom Hearts 3D will be hitting this July, but the distant future looks a little clouded for the 3DS.

E3 2012: Nintendo Won’t Price the Wii U Yet

Wii U logo 1024x724 E3 2012: Nintendo Wont Price the Wii U Yet

E3 2012 will not unveil the price and date of the Wii U.

The price of the Wii U has been a big question since the unveiling of Nintendo’s newest home console. Nintendo has decided that E3 2012 will not be the location to disclose the price and release date of the Wii U.

This is the first time Nintendo has been determined to stay tight lipped about their console’s finer details. Back when the Wii was being shown for the final time at E3 before its release, Nintendo decided to wait a few more weeks to unveil the $249 price tag. E3 2012 would seem like a smart choice to unveil the price, but Nintendo is most likely trying to get media to focus on the features and games of the Wii U at E3 2012, and not the price. Our guess for the price of the Wii U is still $349.

Indie:Beyond Journey’s pretty picture

I know a lot of gamers are going to be pretty upset with what I’m about to say but I must say it; Indie games aren’t that great where they get a free pass.

For now I’m referring to ThatGameCompany’s latest PSN game Journey, for those of you whom have not played nor purchased Journey I will tell you now, it’s not as great as everyone claims.

Indie Begins

Yes, Journey is a gorgeous game that is a feast to the eyes but, that’s about it.

The claims of it being an “emotional adventure” and an “experience that gamers shouldn’t miss” were bogus.

I felt little emotions except for when the camera pulled back to show a beautiful shot of the world, but it was nothing that I haven’t seen before in other games.

The music is great and it’s played at the perfect time, every time, the soundtrack is defiantly worth listening to.

Wii U To Offer Digital Downloads For New Games

Wii U and console Wii U To Offer Digital Downloads For New Games

Wii U to get full retail games for download.

In a surprising move, retail games for the Wii U will be available in both physical copies and digital downloads. President Satoru Iwata announced the news today during a Nintendo investor’s conference, saying that this feature will ideally be available at the launch of the Wii U. However, the idea of digitally downloading new games at launch will first be implemented with New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the 3DS. Considering that Nintendo has never really taken advantage of online services such as this (aside from the Virtual Console, of course), it’ll be interesting to see how much internal storage the Wii U will have, or if Nintendo will expect consumers to buy SD cards for all of their games. Nevertheless, it’s really cool to see Nintendo embracing the idea of downloading a full game while still allowing us to purchase physical copies, as opposed to all the crazy rumors about Microsoft and Sony consoles going the digital distribution route. How will you be buying your Wii U games: Digital or physical?

E3 2012: Microsofts Woodstock to Replace Zune

E3 2012 to debut Microsoft’s “Woodstock” service to replace Zune.
