E3 2012: Assassins Creed 3 Will Have Combat at Sea
Assassins Creed 3 will take Connor to battles at sea.
We already saw Assasssins Creed 3 earlier at Ubisoft’s E3 2012 press conference, but that did not stop Sony from debuting a new feature coming to the Assassins Creed franchise. Ubisoft showed off Connor taking control of a giant ship during the Revolutionary War, and turned his enemies ships into piles of that sunk to the bottom of the sea.
The gameplay looked to be very easy to control, and all of the shooting mechanics looked to be a simple aim and shoot method. The weather played a big factor, and while the player attempts to steer the boat, storms brought giant waves of water crashing into Connor’s ship. The visuals were very well done, and after the battle subsided, Connor made his way to other ships to get a more hands on approach at killing his enemies.
Sony also announced a PS3 bundle that will pack Assassins Creed 3 in the box, and also unveiled that the PS3 will get exclusive DLC. Assassins Creed 3 hits store shelves on October 30th, 2012.
