Happy Wars, The First F2P Game On XBLA, Is Available Now

Xbox Live Gold members can now get Happy Wars for free.

Happy Wars, the first F2P downloadable game for XBLA Gold Members, is now live. The game, developed by Toylogic,  allows you and two teams of 15 players each to do battle in large maps wit ha mix of melee combat and magic spells. The game’s aesthetic and teamwork based combat looks very similar to the PSN exclusive Fat Princess, but Happy Wars still looks like a pretty solid title for the low low price of free. Speaking of which, I’ve gotten a chance to check out the game’s F2P model, where you can purchase customization items or new gear with happy tickets. 80 MSP will earn you 8 tickets, which is roughly the cost of buying a single item. The item bundles currently cost around 14-20 tickets (Items are currently discounted for the game’s launch). However, you can unlock items through regular gameplay.

We will most likely have a review for Happy Wars in the coming week. So what do you think of the game? Do you plan on playing it? How do you think the F2P model will work on the Xbox 360? Let us know in the comments section!
