E3 2012: Nintendo to Debut Redesigned Wii U Controller?
Wii U Controller Redesign Shows up on Twitter.
Last year at E3 2011, Nintendo made sure that the world knew their new console the Wii U would be focused on their new controller. Obviously the touch screen embedded in the middle of the controller is the big story, but the above picture shows that Nintendo could debut a new Wii U controller design.
The joysticks on the above picture is different from the original Wii U controller. The first design featured analog slider pads similar to the 3DS, and the new design has more traditional analog sticks. The new design also has so redesigned buttons on the bottom row. You can head over to GamesRadar for a direct comparison of the new and old Wii U controller. It is entirely possible this will only be the development unit’s controller, but Nintendo made it clear that the controller was still not finished last year.
