Rage Against The….Ending? Does BioWare Deserve All the Hate?

By now everyone should know about the infamous Mass Effect 3 ending problem, even if you don’t play Mass Effect 3, and the fact that many fans are very upset about how Bioware handled Shepard and company’s final push against the Reapers.

For those who are not following along with the story allow me to give you the short version, fans of Mass Effect felt unsatisfied and cheated about the ending of Mass Effect 3.

Now, you may be wondering why this is such a big deal, you might be asking “People are left unsatisfied and unhappy about endings to plenty of their favorite game, why is this game so special?”

In all honesty it’s not the game that’s truly special but the promise made years ago from Bioware, saying that every decision the player makes will be a factor in the game’s universe.

Mass Effect 3 Will Have DLC for Single, and Multiplayer

The end of Mass Effect 3 has been the most talked topic for gamers since a few days after its release. Beware has been pretty quite since then, but finally they have given some insight on the ending. Casey Hudson from Bioware had the following to say:

“I didn’t want the game to be forgettable, and even right down to the sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people–debating what the endings mean and what’s going to happen next, and what situation are the characters left in,” he said.

“That to me is part of what’s exciting about this story. There has always been a little bit of mystery there and a little bit of interpretation, and it’s a story that people can talk about after the fact.”
