Top Games We Hope Launch on the Next Xbox

In case you didn’t know, Microsoft is set to unveil the successor to the Xbox 360 on May 21st, 2013. The entire gaming world knows Microsoft is planning to release a new console, but gamers are still in the dark on what the next Xbox can really do. Rumors have been circulating for what feels like years, but with conflicting rumors, gamers really have no clue what Microsoft has going on in their super secret labs.

So until that fateful day where the Xbox 720 ( is anyone else sick of calling it that?) is revealed, we at For the Love of Gaming have been talking about what games we would love to see launch with the console. Here are the top games the crew wants to see.

Casey: Fallout 4 Fallout 3 Top Games We Hope Launch on the Next Xbox

The problem with an upcoming console is I have no basis for my wishful thinking, other than visuals. However, there is a game that I wouldn’t even mind having released on the 360, but with Bethesda having said little to nothing on the topic, any reveals will most likely be aiming at a next-gen release. Fallout 4. The Post-Apocalyptic-FPS-RPG-Sandbox franchise has its roots in top-down RPG, like Baldur’s Gate; from there it has become one of the most coveted franchises among core gamers. I personally have clocked 300 hours or more in Fallout 3 and New Vegas. The open world has such an amazing story to tell and the narrative really causes the player to become attached to the happenings in the world. With the more recent release of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it is clear that Bethesda is improving upon their textures and slowly moving away from the stigma that their games lack proper de-bugging. A graphics engine even relatively close to that of Skyrim (amped up with the capabilities of a new console) coupled with the amazing storytelling of each Fallout game will create an amazing experience that is almost certain to make GOTY if/when it releases. I CAN NOT WAIT.

Sego’s 2013 Predictions

predictions Segos 2013 Predictions

It’s 2013 that means it’s time for some video game predictions.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! Since it’s the new year it’s time for some predictions. These predictions will cover everything I think will happen in the gaming world. So let’s get started.

Let’s start with the obvious one: there will be one, maybe two new consoles that will come out next year. The consoles I’m talking about are the next Xbox and the next PlayStation.  I’m 100% sure the next Xbox will come out around the Holiday season. We’ve been hearing about for awhile all the leaks and rumors, and even Microsoft has given hints here and there.  Microsoft is definitely ready to bring out their next console. For more Microsoft predictions, Cory has written a good piece here.  Now the one I’m not sure about is the next PlayStation.  I really don’t think Sony will release a new console till 2014,  which could hurt them once again. We saw it with this current generation of consoles and only now is the PS3 being successful.  But I am sure Sony will announce it at E3.

Fallout 4 for Next Gen Consoles?

Fallout 3 1024x574 Fallout 4 for Next Gen Consoles?

Bethesda Hiring for Fallout 4 on the Next Xbox?

Bethesda has listed a job posting that  says the following,  “future generation console programmer” to work with “cutting-edge technology.” Does this mean Fallout 4 is on  it’s way to the next generation of consoles?

With Bethesda’s last title being The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, all fingers point to Fallout 4 being the next project. With ID Software now working with them, ID Tech 5 could be the new engine of choice for Fallout 4. After the showing that Rage did on the current gen of hardware, a significant increase of power could only do wonders for an open world title not for only Fallout 4, but The Elder Scrolls as well.

More importantly, the listing also hints that Bethesda could have the next Xbox in their possession. With the amount of power the next Xbox is rumored to have, Fallout 4 could have the best open world experience to date.
